HEMP
As a naturally regenerative plant that requires little irrigation and no chemical treatments, hemp is both environmentally friendly and comfortable. Its strong, flexible fibres are spun into a durable, wear-resistant fabric, that allows air to flow freely - and only gets softer over time.

Resistant & soft
Hemp is a resilient, wear-resistant fabric - perfect for everything from playing with children to household tasks or forest hikes. At MUJI, we choose hemp for its natural benefits, knowing it is good for you. It feels gentle on the skin, and only gets softer with every wash.
Breathable & insulated
Hemp is a naturally breathable material, made of cellulose strands that allow air to flow freely. Antimicrobial, light, odour resistant… It stays fresh for long, and its natural properties make it easy to wear and easy to wash.

LINEN
Derived from the fast-growing flax plant with its distinctive blue flowers, this eco-friendly fabric is both airy and soft, and ages beautifully over time. As one of MUJI’s signature fabrics, it is perfect for warmer weather, thanks to excellent breathability and temperature regulation.

A unique feel
Lightweight, soft, and airy. Effortless to wear, and gentler on the skin over time. Linen naturally adapts to each person and their unique way of wearing it. Hypoallergenic and antimicrobial, it is a fabric you can trust completely.
Natural properties
Linen’s fundamental property is its ability to regulate body temperature with breathable fabric, ideal for warmer weather. The fabric stays dry and comfortable, always cool to the touch. A linen piece is a refreshing feel on hot afternoons - and a small step toward a naturally better wardrobe, one garment at a time.

KAPOK
Kapok, sourced from Java Island, Indonesia, is one of the most sustainable fabrics. Kapok trees require minimal care - no fertilisers, pesticides, or extra water - and grow rapidly with little human intervention, making them an ideal low-impact alternative to other fibres.
